Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Voice Unlock Android application (the "App") published by Voice Unlock ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Android devices that you own or control, solely for your own personal use. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
2. Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- Copy, modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the App, except where Android platform tooling explicitly permits.
- Sell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the App.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our services or those of our advertising or analytics providers.
- Attempt to bypass the lock-screen mechanism on a device you do not own or are not authorized to use.
3. Advertising
The App is free and supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge that ads will be shown at the splash, between onboarding steps, and at the bottom of main screens. Where required by law, the App will ask for your consent before serving personalized ads. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Lock-screen security disclaimer
The App replaces the visible lock screen with a custom user interface and accepts a voice phrase, PIN, or pattern as the unlock credential. It is intended as a convenience layer on top of the standard Android lock. Voice recognition is performed entirely on-device and is not a guaranteed biometric authentication method — false acceptances and false rejections are possible. You should not rely on the App as the sole means of protecting highly sensitive information. Always keep your device's underlying Android lock (system PIN, password, or biometric) enabled as a fallback.
5. No warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Voice Unlock be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to your device, or any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (which, for a free App, is zero).
7. Third-party services
The App incorporates software from third parties, including Google Mobile Ads, Google User Messaging Platform, and Firebase. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may terminate them at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or discontinue the App, or any feature within it, at any time and without notice.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Hanoi.
